In the first year of his career, he qualified for the FLW Stren Championship, finishing in the top forty of over 200 anglers. In 2008, he once again set his goals high and achieved the championship. Fishing is not just his profession; it is his passion. Cody delivers both on and off the water, a style of innovation and excellence. He carries his passion for this industry by promoting the best fishing resources in the fishing world.

Cody is a diehard when it comes to fishing and his commitment to the sport and unique style has landed not only the two Stren Championship qualifiers, but also placed him in Angler of the Year Top 10 in the ABA Grand Slam in 2008.

Cody is a resident of Quitman, Texas, where he is a Lake Fork Guide. He is engaged to Heather Trotter, who has joined his passion as an avid angler and photographer in the world of fishing. When not on the tournament trail, you will find both of them enjoying the outdoors on one of the deer ranches in Texas.
